In expressing their appreciation and thanks to all media friends, Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur is organized a special 'RAMADAN PREVIEW on last Wednesday at Broadway Lounge & Big Apple Restaurant, Level 14 Berjaya Times Square Hotel that showcases their exclusive range of extensive cuisines spread, as well as welcoming 'Balik Kampung' feel. Balik Kampung Buffet, available daily throughout the holy month, serves up a sumptuous spread of traditional delicacies and classic flavours, making it an ideal choice for
buka puasa with family and friends. With the 14th-floor-city-viewed restaurant decked out in festive embellishment, the Hari Raya spirit is definitely in the air. Heightening the atmosphere, a gong-beating ceremony is held every evening to signal that it's time to break fast.

balik kampung is always associated with good food from Mom's kitchen, beautiful childhood memories, and not forgetting - embracing the simplicity of life. Here at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur we create that mood in our restaurant with traditional
rumah kampung decor, complete with duduk bersila concept as one of the options for our guests when they dine with us," said Abel Nelson Nang, Corporate Director of Marketing & Communications - Berjaya Hotels & Resorts.
The hotel's Chef de Cuisine - Chef Mazlee Abdul Rahman said, the buffet line up offers great variety, featuring over 100 items that are rotated on a daily basis, ensuring that regulars can look forward to something different each time. While the traditional elements is retained, Chef Mazlee and his team of culinary brigade have also sprinkled a touch of creativity on several time-honoured recipes.
Daging Masak Gulai, Telur Itik Masak Lemak, Kambing Bakar Percik, Gulai Ikan Talang & Nenas, Kari Ayam Mamak and
Udang Masak Ros are some must-try traditional Malay dishes.
Another speciality, the Roast Lamb Kuzi on Briyani Rice, is one that draws much attention. Sitting atop a mound of flavourful briyani rice, the chunk of lamb is only carved up into succulent slices at the last minute, ensuring its juices remain inside. Other dishes to look out for include the
Kari Burung Unta & Kentang, Ayam Goreng Icikabin, Ekor Masak Asam Pedas, Pucuk Manis & Keledek, Kepah Masak Kunyit, Kambing Vindaloo, Ketam Goreng Cili and
Gulai Sotong Timur. Those with an eye on their health can toss up their own
Ulam-Ulam Kampung, or pick from a variety of ready-made salads on offer. The variety of fish crackers and
papadoms make for good snacking too. Otherwise, make a beeline for the action stations where you'll find char-grilled cuts of
Ikan Panggang, or simply make your own plate of
Pasembur.
No
buka puasa buffet is complete without dates, and here, there's a whole basketful of them.
Should one have room for deserts, a selection of Malay
Kuih and puddings make for a sweet ending. Alternatively, have a bowl of refreshing
Ais Kacang or

Balik Kampung Buffet at Big Apple Restaurant is available daily from 6.30pm to 10.30pm until 29 August 2011. It is priced at RM78.00 ++ for adults, and RM42.00++ for children. The hotel also caters to bigger group for Ramadan
Buka Puasa Dinner from RM68.00++ per person onwards, with a guaranteed minimum of 10 tables. Ramadan half-day and full-day meeting packages are also available from RM90++, which include the use of meeting room,
Buka Puasa Dinner voucher, basic PA system, complimentary backdrop and basic meeting amenities. Guests who wish to stay in and enjoy the homely comfort of their suites may also enjoy special room rates for Superior Suite at RM248.00++ (single) or RM268.00++ (double) inclusive of one complimentary breakfast. A minimum booking of 10 rooms per group is required.
